KITH Homage
Homage (2015) was a curated pop-up exhibition organized by Joshua Liner and presented in a temporary KITH Miami exhibition space prior to the opening of the KITH Miami store, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the ASICS GEL-LYTE III. Conceived solely as an exhibition, the project positioned the iconic sneaker as a cultural and design touchstone, bringing contemporary art into dialogue with fashion and street culture outside of a traditional gallery setting.
The exhibition featured 13 ASICS GEL-LYTE III sneakers, each paired with an artist represented by Joshua Liner Gallery. Invited to reinterpret the shoe through their own practice, the artists translated its form, history, and cultural impact into original artworks, transforming the sneaker into a catalyst for cross-disciplinary expression.
