Tiffany Bozic Qualia

Qualia presents a new body of work by Tiffany Bozic that reflects on subjective perception and the limits of understanding consciousness across species. Drawing from firsthand experiences in the field, Bozic pairs disparate animal forms and environments to explore shared patterns of protection, survival, and coexistence. Rendered in acrylic on maple panel, the works integrate the natural grain of the wood into their compositions, blurring distinctions between surface and subject. Through these meticulously layered paintings, Bozic invites viewers to consider how different beings experience the same world in fundamentally unknowable ways.

Tiffany Bozic (b. 1979, Arkansas) lives and works in San Francisco, CA. Her work draws from biology, ecology, and personal encounters with the natural world, exploring interconnection, perception, and the complexity of living systems. Bozic has presented solo exhibitions at Joshua Liner Gallery, New York; FFDG, San Francisco; and Kinsey/DesForges Gallery, Culver City. Her work has been included in group exhibitions at institutions such as the Laguna Art Museum and Joshua Liner Gallery, and she has been a featured speaker at Semi-Permanent and the California Academy of Sciences.
